I collect information of a personal nature to be able to provide you with services and to market my services.

I collect information about my clients, potential clients, suppliers, and business associates.

What type of personal information do I collect?

I collect information such as names, addresses (personal, postal, business and IP), contact details and other information to be able to provide and market my services. In common with other websites, log files are stored on the web server saving details such as the visitor’s IP address, browser type, referring page and time of visit. Where registration is required, the visitor’s email and a username will be stored on the server.

Do I collect sensitive information?

Sensitive Information is defined by the Act in sec 6 as ‘information or an opinion about an individual’s: racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, membership of a political association, religious beliefs or affiliations, philosophical beliefs, membership of a professional or trade association, membership of a trade union, sexual preferences or practices, or criminal record that is also personal information; or health information about an individual; or genetic information about an individual that is not otherwise health information; or biometric information that is to be used for the purpose of automated biometric verification or biometric identification or biometric templates.’

I do collect some information during the usual administration of my services that may be Sensitive Information. Sensitive information will only be disclosed to a third party with your express written consent or if so ordered by a court, tribunal or regulatory authority. Unless I am legally prevented from doing so, I will notify you that your sensitive information has been disclosed.

How is personal information collected?

I collect information through your online enquiry forms, personal and telephone discussions, and during the course of providing professional services. With your consent I may obtain your personal information from other persons. Unless I am legally prevented from doing so, I will provide you with a copy of any such information.

How do I use your personal information?

I may use your information to carry out my business operations, market my services, communicate with you, comply with legal requirements and improve my services. Cookies may be used to remember visitor preferences when interacting with the website.

Will I share your information with others?

I will only provide your personal information to a third party if so ordered by a court, tribunal or regulatory authority or if you provide express written consent. In the event that the third party is an overseas based person or organisation I will take such steps as are reasonable in the circumstances to ensure that the overseas recipient does not breach the Australian Privacy Principles.

How do I protect the security of the personal information collected?

I protect the security of personal information collected through storing information in secure facilities.

Can you be anonymous or use a pseudonym?

It is impractical for you to be anonymous or for you to use a pseudonym. I will be unable to provide you with professional services unless you provide me with your personal information.

Can you access or correct your personal information?

You may access your personal information by way of written request to me. I will respond within 30 days to arrange for reasonable and practical access, except in the circumstances set out in Australian Privacy Principle 12.3. I will address any concerns about, or requests to correct, your personal information.

What do you do if you believe I have breached this Policy or the Australian Privacy Principles?

Your initial complaint or concerns ought to be addressed in writing to me. I will investigate any such breach and take immediate steps to rectify the breach and in any event I will respond within 30 days.

If you are still dissatisfied with my response you have a right to complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner
